The Hot End System is a fast, efficient way to make leak-proof sap and drop line connections. This portable system heats poly tubing ends in the workplace, whether at home or in the field. The thermostatically controlled heating process creates just enough flexibility for the tubing to easily slide onto a barbed connector by hand. The tubing then quickly cools and contracts to a strong, leak-proof fit. The heating chamber is battery powered and contains an immersion solution that is food safe and that inhibits bacteria growth. The light-weight, rechargeable battery pack provides plenty of power to reach working temperature in under 4 minutes and to last up to 10 hours with constant use. At only 4 lbs, this portable system is comfortably worn on either side for lefthanded or right-handed use. The carrying pouches, belt, and quick-release buckle are made of weather resistant materials and the system comes complete with re-fill bottle, immersion solution, and battery charger.
